There are many Timberon property owners that are violating the ordinance shown below by not disposing of sewage properly on their properties. It is up to the community to contact the Environmental Department so that they are aware of these violators.
Please contact: New Mexico Environmental Dept Marci Nevarez 575-635-6508 She needs the following information: Property owner’s name, address, phone number if possible, legal description, and physical address, if there is one.

to look up property owner information if you have the legal lot description. Using a plat map really helps locate the necessary information.
“Violation of these regulations may result in a civil penalty of up to $100.00 per violation. In addition, violation of these regulations is a Petty Misdemeanor (NMSA 1978, Section 74-1-10) and is punishable by a fine of up to $500.00 or a jail sentence of up to six (6) months, or both (NMSA 1978, Section 31919-l.B (Cum Supp. 1993).”
