Good morning Neighbors,
The TDC events committee has some BIG events in our near future!! Please take a look at the following, if you can lend a hand it would be greatly appreciated. Please plan on attending, we think they are just going to be awesome.
Before I get into the upcoming events, we would like to thank all those that volunteered for our Easter Event! We would like to thank all that attended. These events are growing and that is awesome. The Easter Bunny hid well over 1100 eggs, and our kiddos had a blast finding them all. The event started a little early so we had some kiddos who arrived a little late, and our kiddos reached into their found eggs and shared with those that didn’t have any. That says alot about our kiddos and a shout out to the parents for teaching them these qualities.
Okay, now on to our events……
1. The Kentucky Derby Party. This is a semi formal event. Ladies wear your best Derby hat. Fun starts at 2 pm, at the Lodge, 1 Bobwhite Circle. Tickets can be bought around town for a donation. If you have any questions or need tickets, please contact Lorie Guiles, or Machele Lackey. This going to be a fun day for everyone!
2. We are holding a t-shirt contest. One for the adults and one for the kiddos. Please submit your designs to the TDC booth on Saturday May 24th by 11 am. We will then post the designs at our booth and everyone will be able to vote on their favorite. The winners of both groups will have their design featured on a TDC t-shirt.
3. Memorial Day Madness. We will have vendors in the parking lot at the Lodge. The pool will be opening. TDC will be holding a garage sale and silent auction. High Country has events planned. The Golfers Assc will be holding a golf scramble. Don Wiklund will have performances by the Flying Royals. Busy Bee will be hosting a band, check with Lorie Guiles for date and time. I am sure I missed something, as this is going to be a fun filled weekend. Please plan on joining us in the fun!!
We need vendors for that weekend. If you want to set up a booth, or know someone who would be interested, please email me terriratley.tdc@gmail.com that way we can make sure everyone has a spot.
4. We will be holding the 4th of July Parade and we need floats. The theme is 80’s movies. Please contact any one of the officer’s and we will make sure you have a spot.
As you can see, there is a lot going on in Timberon!! If you can spare some time to volunteer, please contact the events committee, Jessica Roberts, or Lorie Guiles.
So, please mark these dates on your calendar, and we hope to see you there!!
Respectfully,
Terri Ratley
