We hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday!!
My first thoughts as I begin this email are to thank everyone for a wonderful, awesome 4th of July weekend. I know there were some issues, but we learn from every event we hold. So, let’s all be proud of our little community for hosting so many guests.
Tomorrow, July 12th is our monthly meeting at 10 am, at the Timberon Development Councils office. There are many topics that need to be discussed and we want as many community members as we can get to join us. If you have a comment, suggestion, or even a complaint, please join us and express yourself. Our community is growing and we want to grow with this community. I cannot thank everyone enough for taking time out of your Saturday to join us. When we plan an event, such as the 4th of July, we need community involvement from beginning to end. These events are thrown for our community, they take a lot of hard work behind the scenes, work that isn’t seen.
The one thing we need the most are volunteers. Folks, I cannot stress enough, if we don’t have volunteers, we cannot make these events work. For example, the floats in our parade. There were many man hours put in for each one you saw. The Timberon Events committee float was basically designed and built by volunteers, the same with every other float. We all take pride in our community, and I have had people in Cloudcroft comment about all the events we are hosting, that makes me realize the impact we are having outside of our community.
So, please come join us and help us continue to grow. Maybe you have an idea that would further our growth, please come and share. So, in closing, we hope to see you tomorrow morning!
