From the TDC Vice President’s Desk – Monthly Meeting Recap Nov. 15, 2025

Good afternoon Neighbors,

We held our monthly meeting and I want to update everyone on what we discussed.
Timberon Development Council held its first annual Masquerade Ball on Friday Nov. 14th.  The evening was a great success and we would like to thank the event committee and all the volunteers for all their hard work.  It was nice to sit down to a wonderful meal and socialize with the community.  This event was publicized on Facebook, but some of our community missed the announcements.  We are going to try and plan another one in the spring/summer, and we will get the word out better to our community members.
We discussed our next event which will be our annual Christmas dinner.  It was decided we would have 5 turkeys, 3 hams, we will also supply the rolls.  Ms. Penny Hunter has graciously volunteered to make giblet gravy.  Thank you, Penny.  The Neighborhood watch will be donating corn on the cob.  We are asking everyone if you are able to bring a side dish or dessert for passing, it will be greatly appreciated.  The event committee is working on a website where people can sign up for a side dish.  Once I have that information, I will make sure to get it out to our community.  TDC very generously donated $500.00 to the 1st annual toy drive.  The neighborhood watch is very grateful for the donation.  The Christmas party will be December 20th at the Lodge.
The Timberon Neighborhood Watch is currently working on the toy drive.  They are signing up all the local kids, as well as, other mountain communities.  If you need to sign your child up, please email TimberonNW@gmail.com or stop by the Busy Bee and see Lorie Guiles and she will get you signed up.  The Neighborhood watch needs volunteers on Dec. 13th and 14th to wrap presents.  It will be at 1 pm on both days.  They will provide refreshments.  Right now the plan is to shop for gifts on Nov. 23rd.  They have enough volunteers and trucks for that day.  Santa will be at the Christmas Party to hand out all the toys.  The Neighborhood watch is hoping that this Christmas will be a memory for the kids, as well as all the families.
Every year our Annual Christmas party has grown, and is a wonderful afternoon to visit with neighbors that we may only see a couple times of year.  So, we hope to see as many of you that can make it there.
I sent out an email regarding our community classes.  Attached was a list of items Ed Carlson needs to hold these classes.  Please review the attachment and if you can help, we would greatly appreciate it.  Also, Don will be holding a knife sharpening class on November 22nd at 10 am at the TDC office.  Come learn how to sharpen your knives.
I know this is a lot of information, if you have any questions please feel free to email me, or get in contact with any of the officiers.
Respectfully,
Terri Ratley
VicePresident
Timberon Development Council
